Graduate Certificate in Social and Emotional Learning

ACCEPT is proud to offer, in partnership with Bridgewater State University, a graduate certificate in social emotional learning!
Bridgewater State University’s Graduate Certificate in Social and Emotional Learning prepares educators working in PreK-12 schools with evidence-based practices needed to promote resilience, wellness, and positive developmental outcomes for all students. An emphasis will be placed on the conceptual framework for Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) with a focus on how SEL intersects with academics and positive behavioral supports in order to meet the needs of all students. Topics around equity will be embedded throughout coursework, focusing on ways that schools can cultivate SEL practices to close opportunity gaps and create more inclusive school communities.
 
Participants can take the first course as a stand-alone class (3 credits), or choose to complete all 4 courses in the SEL Graduate Certificate program (12 credits). The full program is designed to be completed within just one school year! All courses consist of online, asynchronous courses with optional Zoom meetings to connect with colleagues and instructors. The final course includes an independent practicum designed to be completed at the participant’s current place of employment.
 
Participants that sign up for all four courses can choose to pay the total amount up front or opt to pay monthly to spread out the cost.

Course 3: Trauma-Sensitive Teaching: Practical Strategies For Educating Students and Building Resilience
February 25, 2024 – April 27, 2024 | Cost: $1200 | Earn: 3 Credits
 
Course 4: Practicum in Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
May 5, 2024 – June 29, 2024 | Cost: $1200 | Earn: 3 Credits
 
Refunds: Class participants have up to 3 days after the course begins to request a refund. Participants who request a refund must notify ACCEPT immediately. No refunds will be issued after the deadline.
