Please join us and be part of the new Assistant Principal Job Alike Group through ACCEPT Collaborative.  This group will collaborate to discuss some of the challenging components of being an assistant principal including the following:

  • Execution of school policies and procedures
  • Instructional leadership
  • Monitoring student progress and behavior and implementing effective interventions
  • Creating a positive school culture

This Job-Alike Group is a community of peers, for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) leaders to lean on while moving SEL initiatives forward in their districts.  Group participants will gather together (virtually) to examine current problems of practice with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset. The group members will share (and receive) resources and ongoing support to help them move the work forward. Specific meeting topics are generated by consensus from the group, with discussions framed within best practices and in alignment with DESE guidance (e.g. inclusive practices, diversity/ equity/ inclusion, MTSS). The group facilitator will provide structures to ensure a safe and engaging learning community for all participants.

Description

This Job-alike Group will provide educators and related service providers who work with transition-aged students with disabilities an opportunity to learn, share, reflect and network with other professionals in similar roles and settings. This group will focus on transition planning and how to navigate a successful transition from school to post-school life for students with disabilities. This group will meet five times during the 2025-2026 school year, and topics of discussion will be identified by participants, and presented by the facilitators. Participants will then have the opportunity to reflect on issues that arise when working with transition-aged students and share different experiences, ideas and resources. Please join colleagues who share similar experiences, passions and interests through this Job-alike group for professionals working in the transition-aged field.


In addition to the virtual meeting dates, the group will have opportunities to meet in person with their students for social gatherings during the school day.

Written withdrawals addressed to ACCEPT via mail, fax or email will be accepted without penalty ten (10) business days prior to the workshop. After that time, there will be no refunds or billing adjustments, however, you may send a substitute if approved by your supervisor. Once the class begins Districts are responsible for the cost of the program regardless of attendance.
