Home Based Therapist

ACCEPT Education Collaborative is a leading provider of Special Education services for school districts in MetroWest.  We have an opening for a part time Home Based Therapist with experience working with students with autism to provide one to one educational, behavioral and social services for children aged 3 to 22 years in the home.  Help teach parents the skills necessary to maximize social, behavioral and educational functioning of their children at home and in the community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year experience providing ABA therapy to children

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide 1:1 educational, behavior and social services for children aged 3 to 22 in the home.
  • Implement programming and goals as outlined in the Parent Contract.
  • Report to and collaborate with the direct supervisor.
  • Teach parents to implement techniques and strategies taught to the child and to follow through with agreed upon goals.
  • Model techniques and strategies for the parents.
  • Accompany parents on community trips as part of the child's program.
  • Facilitate play and social goals with siblings and peer to address goals and issues.
  • Collect data for services being implemented within the program.
  • Provide data summaries to direct supervisor or coordinator per progress reporting period, or as requested.
  • Write and submit weekly notes to parents and direct supervisor.
  • Have access to email and forward all / respond to email communications with direct supervisor or coordinator in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities throughout the year to develop personal competencies in the areas of:  principles of ABA, behavioral interventions; functional assessments/analysis; reinforce/preference assessment; identification of appropriate replacement behaviors; reinforcement programs; observation and measurement of behavior.
  • Such other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The Home Based Therapist position is part time.
