Mental Health Initiative

The ACCEPT Education Collaborative has been awarded a Capacity Building Grant by the MetroWest Community Health Care Foundation. The Grant’s focus is early identification of issues impacting students and linking school personnel with community based providers. By increasing the knowledge of available resources school and community mental health staff will be better able to help students avoid crises and possible hospitalization. Developing a network of providers and other resources will expedite referrals for assessment and treatment, allowing students to continue participating in their school program with appropriate supports. ACCEPT member school districts and community mental health agencies including Human Relations Services, MetroWest Medical Center, Walker School and Wayside Youth and Family Support Network bring a wide range of resources and expertise to this effort.
