FULL- 8/16-8/20 ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Summer Institute

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Summer Institute, an Intensive Training Program for Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Specialists, and Administrators will  be presented by Anne C. Donovan, M.Ed., BCBA, John Stokes, M.S., BCBA, Elise Stokes, M.S.Ed., BCBA, and Kerri Otipoby, M.S. Ed., BCBA, wiil be held at the Hampton Inn, 319 Speen Street, Natick, MA from Monday through Friday, August 16-20, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to3:30 p.m each day.

This intensive training program will prepare educators to better understand the complex needs of students with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental delays. Basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis will be reviewed, and participants will be provided with practical strategies on how ABA can be incorporated into their classroom environments to serve the wide range of needs of their students. Our instructors use a combination of lecture, video examples, and hands-on activities to increase understanding of the material presented. Follow-up consultation by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) can also be provided upon request in order to maximize the impact of the training and ensure that participants effectively apply the material to their classroom.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Anne C. Donovan, M.Ed., BCBA, has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with autism and related developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including residential, private, and public schools. She consults regularly with special education teachers, related service providers, and families to provide optimal learning environments for students with autism using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Ms. Donovan is also a visiting lecturer at Bridgewater State College's School of Education and Allied Studies. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Education from Penn State, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Anne currently works for ACCEPT Education Collaborative.

Certificate of Attendance for 32 PDPs will be awarded.

Three graduate credits available through Framingham State College $195.00 (optional) with extended hours.  The additional follow up date for optional graduate credit is on October 22, 2010.
